Benoit Godin INRS, Canada

Benoît Godin is a professor at Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, Montreal, Canada. He received his DPhil from Sussex University, England, in 1992. He then worked for several years on the history of statistics on science, technology, and innovation, documenting the roots of these statistics back to the 19th century and the context of eugenics. Thereafter, he devoted his time to intellectual history. In the course of this project, he studies the concept of innovation, broadly defined, from antiquity to the present. Actually, he develops a project on the use of the concept during the Reformation period.
