Michael Kelly King's College London, UK
Michael Kelly is a Lecturer in mental health at King's College London. He teaches across a wide variety of areas but has a particular interest in mental health assessment and diagnosis, as well as inter-professional education. He currently leads the PGDip mental health programme. Having worked in mental health services within the National Health Service, he gained an interest in policy implementation and in particular how some policies appeared to take priority over others. Of particular interest within this was policy implementation for those groups whose presentation challenged services in providing appropriate and coordinated care and treatment. It was this experience which led him to undertake a doctoral dissertation on the subject.
