Wendy S. Looman, PhD, APRN, CPNP-PC, is a professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. The focus of her research and practice is supporting families who are raising children with complex chronic health conditions. She is director of the Center for Children with Special Health Care Needs, where faculty collaborate with community stakeholders to advance the science, care, and outcomes for these children and their families. She is a pediatric nurse practitioner and has worked with children living with cleft and craniofacial conditions. She conducts qualitative and quantitative research to examine how nurses can best support families as they navigate multiple systems of care through care coordination, case management, and telehealth. She led the development and writing of this methods case study.
