What is the role of a Production Editor (PE)?

I’m having trouble transmitting an accepted paper from Sage Track to production.

Once a manuscript is accepted in Sage Track, it goes through three tasks—completion and approval of the contributor form, completion of the production checklist, and the assign to batch task.
