An excellent book that certainly forms a great basis for a Development module for Adult (especially) police students. Unfortunately at present we are not delivering a module to such an audience.
Very accessible. Could look at further models of reflection. My module is aimed at probation students. This book is relevant, yet not quite focused on the subjects most relevant to my students. A book on reflective practice in probation would be appreciated.
Book has provided a key text for potential and current law enforcement personnel who are being introduced to the concept of reflective practice for the first time. The style is very user friendly, and has been received well by students. It contains relevant theory in the context of policing and should be an essential text for anyone considering HE policing qualifications.
This book looks at what reflective practice is, including practical models of reflection, and discusses why it is important in policing. It considers the vital role of reflective practice as part of continuing professional development.
