Ideal for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. It provides an overview of the research methods. Am sure this text book will find an essential place on every desk, study room of students, lectures and all those students who wish to delve deeper into Business research methods.
Incorporated at MBA (Research Methods) module
The distributor in Korea could not get this book. Therefore, I had to adopt another text.
Students really disliked the style of writing in this text. Chapters do not stand alone very well. Both too much information and detail in some parts and not enough in other areas.
The book is recommended for our students of business research methods course.

The textbook is well written with excellent discussions on the scientific and the interpretive approaches to conducting research. Business students often stumble when asked about their methodological framework. This text should definitely help!
I am in total agreement with the precis on the back cover, 'this is not just another book about research.' Lee & Lings have not just rehashed old material, they have produced an up to date, pragmatic and hands-on research manual. It contains an excellent mix of theory and practice and in doing so meets the needs of taught and research students.

A very gentle and encouraging introduction to research which allows the student freedom to think without being weighed down by masses of terminology.
Rather excited about this text ... written in laymans terms, so very 'international student' friendly with poignant sections such as "Why is it important to know this stuff" through each chapter, and a very pragmatic 'theoretical world / Real world' model which will help students understand and contextualise topics throughout chapters. Adding this to reading lists for students at both postgraduate and undergraduate level. It's certainly different in terms of structure and makes an interesting read!
