Claire Gillan Trinity College Dublin, Ireland

Dr Gillan gained her PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2013 under the supervision of Trevor Robbins. She then received postdoctoral funding from Medical Research Council and was subsequently awarded a Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship to work at New York University (NYU). At NYU, Dr Gillan worked on computational approaches to understanding psychiatry trans-diagnostically with Nathaniel Daw and Elizabeth Phelps. In 2016, Claire was appointed as Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin, where she works on developing novel approaches to studying brain health in psychiatric and aging populations – a key goal of her lab is to leverage basic neurocognitive data to make predictions about what treatments will work best for individual patients.
