Concettina (Tina) Tolomeo, DNP, APRN, BC, AE-C, is the Senior Director, Patient Access for Yale Medicine and a Nurse Practitioner in the Yale School of Medicine, Section of Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy, Immunology, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Tolomeo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing Administration, and her Post-Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, all from the Southern Connecticut State University. She also received her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree with a concentration in Clinical Leadership from Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. She holds certifications as an Asthma Educator and Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Tolomeo served on the board of the National Association of Asthma Educators (AAE) from 2000 - 2007. As a board member, she served as president, vice president, and secretary. She received the AAE Outstanding Service Award in 2006 and the 2008 AAE Asthma Educator Award. Dr. Tolomeo has been a member of the local and state Asthma Coalitions and has served as Editor of the Journal of Asthma & Allergy Educators. Additionally, she lectures locally and nationally and has published texts, chapters, and peer reviewed articles related to pediatric respiratory medicine.
