Eva Mikuska, PhD University of Portsmouth, UK

Eva Mikuska, senior lecturer, was born in 1966 to Hungarian parents. Eva was raised and educated in Yugoslavia, and trained by age 20 to be a Geography teacher for high school–aged children. Due to the outbreak of the Yugoslavian war, Eva left home and arrived in the United Kingdom in 1992. Her enthusiasm and commitment for teaching was unscathed, and she continued to work with children of various ages for many years in London. Having taught on various child care programs, in 2010, Eva joined the Childhood, Social Work and Social Care Department team at the University of Chichester. Her aim is to continue supporting students in their chosen careers not only with her wide experience in the field but through her research, which primarily focuses on all aspects of adult education. This includes emotion and learning, emotional labor, and e-learning, with a particular focus on the role of emotion in education.
