Dr. Dawson is a biostatistician and statistical geneticist with particular interest in dental disorders, craniofacial disorders, and immune and inflammatory disorders. Her research interests include the epidemiology of dental caries in high risk populations, particularly in minority and pediatric populations, and caries pattern analysis. Other interests focus on longitudinal studies and investigations of human development, including craniofacial morphometry. Additional research initiatives include the study of gene-environmental interaction, particularly in connection with dental fluorosis, classification and risk assessment, and meta-analysis.
