Nina Zimmerman, MSN, APRN, ANP-BC, AE-C, is an advanced practice nurse, board-certified adult nurse practitioner (ANP) and certified asthma educator. She obtained her MSN in Nursing Education at Barnes-Jewish College in 2005 and post-masters, ANP Certificate at Maryville University in 2009. Nina has 20 years of nursing experience including pulmonary medicine, long term acute care, research coordination, asthma education and advanced practice nursing, undergraduate and graduate nursing education. Nina has published and presented nationally regarding asthma education, patient satisfaction, asthma practice guidelines, and cultural competence. She is an active member of the Allied Health Committee and past Advanced Practice Program Chair for the American Academy of Asthma Allergy and Immunology. She has been a past board member of the Association of Asthma Educators (AAE) and faculty of the AAE, Asthma Certification Review Course. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Nurse Practitioner Programs at Maryvillle University in St. Louis, MO. Her current clinical practice is at an employee health and primary care clinic at the Sunnen Corporation in St. Louis, MO.
