Yogarabindranath Swarna Nantha Monash University Clinical School, Malaysia

Dr. Yogarabindranath Swarna Nantha is an academic general practitioner working for the Ministry of Health Malaysia at the Seremban Primary Care Clinic. His academic and research interests have been in the area of latent tuberculosis, epidemiology, health management, health psychology and non-communicable diseases. He founded PRIMED (Primary Care Research Initiative And Methods Education Department) at the clinic which became the catalyst to the successful publication of papers from various disciplines in medicine (food addiction, latent tuberculosis, obesity and anticoagulation). PRIMED also served as a platform for educating interested primary care research within the clinic, the district and other universities. Currently he works at the non-communicable disease department while pursuing his PhD with Monash University Malaysia on the topic of patient compliance to diabetes management. He occasionally teaches family medicine interns, fellowship students and masters candidates. He also supervises undergraduate medical students from the International Medical University.
