I am planning to use it for teaching professional writing course where I will use the content of the text for nursing students orientation to nursing key concepts and as examples for the application of writing skills.
The book is well organized, straight forward and simple to read and comprehend.

A sound book, good as an introduction.
This is a useful book giving a nice overview of the aspects of nursing. It is useful as a signposting tool for further reading
With a few modifications this book is an ideal way for the students to grasp the concept of modern, and future proof, health care.
This book does exactly what it says on the back cover. It is an excellent resource for student nurses and will be of particular value to 3 rd year students who need more advanced support with the theories related to nursing. This book is well laid out, easy to follow and the sections are clear and well written. The additional use of case studies is really helpful as this helps to relate the theary to practice.

A good book which focuses on policies from a nursing perspective, it addresses ethical considerations and has much written about good practice in a nursing setting. Very useful for students considering working in a health related environment.
The strength of this book is in its variety of topics relevant to nursing. An easy to read text, encouraging the student to incorporate professional knowledge, skills and attitudes to everyday nursing practice. This is an ideal book for all students at the start of nurse training.
