Eloise Carr, PhD, RN Professor of Nursing and Associate Dean, University of Calgary, Canada

Dr. Eloise Carr, RN, PhD, is a Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary. Originally from the UK she moved to Canada in 2011. Her research expertise on mixed methods research is integral to her research program focusing on patients’ experiences of pain, pain education, and the impact of organization policy on pain management. As a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) she has served on several committees including IASP’s International taskforce for Pain Management in Developing Countries, the Educational Initiatives Working Group, and co-founded the Special Interest Group for Pain Education. Dr. Carr serves on the Scientific Committee and is Secretary to the Canadian Pain Society.
