Dr G D Sardana is Professor, Operations Management and Chairs Bimtech Center for Management Case Development at Birla Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida, India. Sardana is a chartered Mechanical Engineer and has done his Ph.D in areas of Productivity management and organizational performance from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi,India. He has corporate experience of 42 years and since last eight years has been in academics.
He has to his credit over 90 papers . Three of his papers have won Best Paper awards from the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering. His books include Productivity Management (Narosa, 1998) ,and Productivity Measurement for Business Excellence (Narosa, 2009).
He has edited eight books devoted to business and management cases.
Dr. Sardana’s teaching and research interests include Business Performance modeling, Service Operations Management, Business Excellence, Supply Chain Systems, Operations Strategy, Productivity Management,and World Class Manufacturing.
