Rich with 'tales from the field' and summary memos as an aide-memoire to future action, the book provides fresh insights and challenges for researchers to guide their practice of case study research.
This is an ideal text for those studying and conducting case study research in education, health and social care, and related social science disciplines.
Helen Simons is Professor Emeritus of Education University of Southampton
excellent text for anyone at both undergraduate to doctoral level using case studies - Helen in a great writer
I see this book as an excellent way of filling a pretty major gap in the case study aspect of the masters' research seminar. This is down to the range of case-issues Simons deals with so lucidly.
A useful text that explains the cocnepts of case study research. Too much focus on education research
This is a very useful text for researchers and students interested in using case-studies in their research in the social sciences, international development, and related fields such as education and health.
I have recommended this as one of two essential texts for the course.
