David F. Vener, MD Houston, USA
Dr. Vener is a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist at Texas Children's Hospital and Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He received his M.D. from Baylor as well as training there in general anesthesia. Following his residency, he completed a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Pediatric Anaesthesiology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. From 1994 - 2004 he was in private practice at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL and then subsequently a Staff Anesthesiologist in Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH. In 2009 he came home to Houston to join the faculty at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. His professional interests are concentrated in the development and implementation of a national congenital cardiac anesthesia registry in conjunction with the Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society and the Society of Thoracic Surgeon's Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia database. He is also involved in the American Society of Anesthesiology's Quality Institute and the Society for Cardiac Anesthesia's Adult Cardiac Anesthesia database and multiple other professional society committees.
