The book provides a valuable overview of many of the varied aspects of operation and work within policing. It will provide students with a good basic understanding of these differing aspects.

This is an excellent book to support the work related learning for the policing foundation degree. I will also be recommending this as reading for the level 3 public services as it contains valuable information which is up to date about policing roles, responsibilities, career opportunities and policing in general.
