I found the book is very handy for student who want to use SPSS, while it also provides enough depth for understanding the reasons behind the analysis.
I recommend this book to my student and to everyone who have a plan to use SPSS, especially who have limited knowledge or have leaving class for very long time.
I have no other words, than appreciate the writer and recommend student to read it.

The first five chapters of this book are particularly helpful because they cover areas that many books ignore but which are central to undergraduates getting started with SPSS, e.g. data entry, frequency tables, charts. I will recommend these chapter to my undergraduates; they are very helpfully presented. I will also recommend the book to my postgraduate students because the section on inferential statistics is comprehensive and includes helpful advice as to how to use statistical tests in SPSS.

The book covers most statistical concepts for beginners well. The examples and illustrations are good an easy to follow. However, it would a good self teaching tool if it had a a copy of the book as a CD +worked examples in CD as well for class illustration purposes.
