this book is very clear and easy to read, applicable to anyone doing quantitative research
An excellent text for inferential statistical tests of 1, 2 or 3+ samples, including different levels of measurement. The layout and explanation are straightforward for students to follow.
This book provide practical examples using SPSS. Statistical concepts are explained using SPSS as a companion to introduce and explain the concepts. Pre-knowledge of SPSS is required.

This is a very helpful textbook for research students with an excellent balance of concepts and theory and their practical application.
Examples are extremely helpful and the right level of maths is provided for this student group.
Top on my list to consider using the textbook in the future. I like the extensive explanations for the crosstabs and the test statistics. It is not as strong on examples for business and economics, that my students prefer. I recommend to students as a supplement
We have not decided on what book we will use for this course. However, this book is still in the running.
Quality text that provides students with a useful introduction and explanatory overview of statistical analysis & SPSS. Will be advising my students as a recommended text.
The book covers most statistical concepts for beginners well. The examples and illustrations are good an easy to follow. However, it would a good self teaching tool if it had a a copy of the book as a CD +worked examples in CD as well for class illustration purposes.
