Julia Velkova is finishing her PhD at the Media and Communications Department at Södertörn University in Stockholm, Sweden. She has been teaching and researching on a variety of topics related to new media practices, ranging from alternative media to practices of datafication and the media industries. Her current research interests revolve around computer cultures and the politics of infrastructures and digital technologies production.
