This is a good text that encourgaes active engagement by the student. It does not fullfill the essential requirements of the unit, but I would recommend it as a part of wider reading.
Very well structured, useful book. Particularly strong on transcultural issues.
I liked this book because of the links to the NMC and the new standard of nurse education. Easy to read and direct links made to the new standards.
Recommended reading for undergraduate BSc nursing students. A concise, easy to read text with activities and case studies to engage the reader and contexualise to realities of clinical prctice.
Useful for a select few students who are practitioners in nursing.
This is an engaging book and easy to read, recommended to students interested in this speciality.
Good resource especially to encourage critical thinking. Useful for background reading ad good ideas for therapy
This is well set out book aimed mainly at student nurses. It follows the domains and essential skills for the new student nurse programme.
There are plenty of interactive activities and reflection points thoughout. The case studies are also progressive allowing theory to be integrated into the text.
as we are introducing the new NMC undergraduate nursing curriculum in september , this book is essential as it is designed to assist students to meet the NMC standards regardless ,of their field. it will also be valuable to health and social work undergraduates. I'll include the text in the reading list. I 'll recommend it to our learning resource centre.
a valuable text designed to assist learners to appreciate the importance of providing humanised person centred care to older people experiencing dementia. Through life case studies and patient real stories ,a very useful learning tool, will enable students to link theory to practice.
