This is a brilliant book aimed at the students. I am going to recommend the book to the library and have already shown the book to the students.

The book is an easy straight- through read or a good one to have on stand by for a quick dip into when a specific topic is required. It supports all the key ideas with useful chapter summaries and key texts to explore issues in greater depth. I'm not sure if the illustrations add much value to the work, but I think the chapter summaries are great and will certainly incorporate them into my delivery for equine undergraduate and Masters students.

Informally written to engage with the new researcher and make it less daunting; well laid out with detailed contents section to support students in finding the information they need. Very helpful, helps with terminology – useful whether embarking on qualitative or quantitative research. Good reading lists and particularly like the focused signposting in some of these although I would have liked to see references to www resources.
