A very useful book for my supervision module. I Like the way the text covers the beginnings to the end of a supervisory relationship.
Very comprehansive text that considers supervision in all aspects.
I have found this book to be extremely informative, it is well set out and very well paced.
It contains information on supervision from start to endings and gives case studies that can be analysed both in class and as individual assessments set for students to carry out alone.
It covers the ethical requirements of a counsellor and the need for self monitoring and reflexive practice and gives explanations on why this is paramount for every counsellor, regardless of their theoretcal model.I will be adding this to the recommended reading list.

This text is accessible, with a structured layout that presents information regarding supervision theories, concepts, ethics, reflexivity and multiculturalism. The development of the supervisory relationship section is excellently addressed and synthesises various supervisory theories, models and interventions in a clear and comprehensive manner. The use of creative methods is particularly innovative and the text includes key components that are essential for effective supervision for counsellors. Activities enable application of the areas addressed within the section and there are a series of reflection points that encourage depth of reflection. An essential text for any supervisor/supervisee within the counselling sector.
