This will be placed on my essential reading list. It helped me through my MSc in practitioner research and so I am confident that it will be a valued learning tool for others, as it will allow them to unlock some of the key concepts in the researching world.
This book brings a refreshing honesty to to research paradigms and brilliantly negotiates the conflicts within and around qualitative research.
The book makes high level reading but provides an excellent overview of competing research philosophies. For a PhD student I would suggest this book should be high on the list of reading during the research design phase of your study. The text will help you differenciate between the competing philosophies of knowledge which must be examined in this core chapter.
This book will support some of our trainees who wish to fully explore the approaches they are taking in their masters level research.
This remains one of the great texts with regards to understanding the discourse on paradigms, their existence, constitution, value or not.
This book is just fantastic. The articles that are included are written by some of the best academics in the subject field. Guba's introduction is methodical and clearly establishes what the reader can expect from the articles included.
