Barbara St. Pierre Schneider received her bachelor of science in nursing from Louisiana State University Medical Center, master of science from the University of Washington School of Nursing, and PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Nursing. She completed postdoctoral studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Pennsylvania State University.
